What is definition reformed?

Reformed, or Reformation, refers to a movement within Christianity that emerged in the 16th century as a response to perceived errors and corruption within the Catholic Church. The movement was led by figures such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, and Huldrych Zwingli, among others.

The central tenets of the Reformed movement include the belief in the authority of scripture, salvation by faith alone, the priesthood of all believers, and the sovereignty of God. Reformed theology emphasizes the importance of grace, the role of the Holy Spirit in guiding believers, and the necessity of living a virtuous life.

Reformed churches can be found in many countries throughout the world, with the largest denominations including the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Reformed Church in America, and the Christian Reformed Church in North America.
